CB (Citizen Band) radio became widely popular in the 1970s, especially in the United States, during the oil crisis era. Truck drivers used CB radios to communicate road conditions, speed traps, traffic updates, and emergencies. Before mobile phones, CB radios were the lifeline of the road. Even today, CB radios are still used in trucking, off-roading, and emergency communication systems.

The goal was to create a believable, slightly used communication device that feels grounded in a narrative-driven environment — perhaps a roadside diner, a long-haul truck cabin, or a survival outpost. The coiled cable and microphone were designed to add dynamic tension and silhouette interest to the prop. This is maybe my longest project yet.
